Identity Campaign & Merchandising

Disability Power & Pride has created a line of high quality products including clothing, accessories, and household appliances. Our merchandise, established in parternship with National Industries for the Blind (NIB), gives us a concrete way to show the collective strength of our individual numbers. We have followed the model of the Human Rights Campaign in promoting a unifying symbol to coalesce the disability community: the “&” or ampersand.

The idea behind our Identity Campaign is that by wearing a Power & Pride t-shirt or carrying a Power & Pride key chain, one can easily show and spread disability support. When millions of people throughout the country have purchased Power & Pride merchandise, we will have illustrated great force as a community.
